List of RX300 DIYs
I have been giving this some thought after hearing about this idea before.
In order to make it easier for both new and veteran members alike, I'd like for everyone to add any DIYs for the RX300 in this sticky thread (maintenance, special projects, you name it) done by any of our members. I know I have a few myself, TunedRX300, our friend ederny, http://rx300how2.home.comcast.net/~rx300how2/ and many others. It is not necessary to have done them on Club Lexus, we only need a link to the thread or site.
Since many DIYs are based on check engine light (CEL) errors faced by RX300 owners, it would be helpful if everyone could take this survey of CEL so that we can pinpoint issues and keep them in mind when we do future DIYs, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=329187

Antenna Replacement
Something to be noted. A few days ago, I replaced the antenna on my 99 RX300 by way of the instructions from this board:
http://rx300how2.home.comcast.net/~rx300how2/
In the workflow, it says to put the cable with the teeth facing the rear of the vehicle...I tried this for about a half an hour to no avail...then for the H*** of it I turned the teeth towards the front of the vehicle, and the antenna motor took the new mast the first time.
The instructions were from the shop manual, and so I don't understand why the discrepancy, but I just wanted to make everyone aware.
Happy New Year,
JBL
