Well, in my case, I had the front doors and front small windows tinted to match the rears... I like it, I think it makes the can looks smoother...

Default Check out mine!!

I even had the front windshield tinted. My dealer did the job for me, and they were very experienced of course with the tint matching for the RX, so i have to say the tint matches front and back perfectly. But i did do all the windows in a very dark shade.

I like the look of the front windows tinted to match the back, but it's hard to match, isn't it?

Post ???

I am interested as well. I was going to tint the whole car black all around. But now that I remembered the car already has tint in the rear that will be a problem. Can they remove the factory tint? If not and you put black tint under it, the rear windows will look blackish silver, while the front wont. You can only tint the whole car the same color as factory then? Dang...problems....Or maybe a layer of super reflective all the way around?
any one know?

The rear tinted windows do not contain a film, thus can not be removed. The entire glass is spray-tinted.

If you want to tint the front with same as back (titanium), this is one approach to match the shade. The back windows spec out at 28% (transmission of visible light) using a light meter. The fronts are 70%. Using a 35% film, the readings should be almost the same (mine came in at 27%). You can have the shop cut off a small piece of film, lay it on the window, then take a meter reading. This way you'll know what to expect BEFORE they actually install the film.

This is what I gather from the papers given to me: The product is LLumar window film. Platinum Plus (TM) PP35-4960-2631474 [roll#]

The other option is take it to the dealer, probably will charge a lot of $$.

Tinting black seems difficult to do. If you do it from inside, it may still not show as a dark black, b/c of the titanium tint. It seems awkward to do from outside. In anycase, the front will have to use a different tint color of black, to match that of rear windows.

I would of preferred the black, rather than the titanium. It only looks good on silver and darker colored (black, blue) RXs. The black tint is universal.

Hope that helps
