Default Marvel mystery oil

Has anyone ever tried a little of this in their fuel? I put about 2-3 ounces in the tank every other fill up.It seems to really kick in the variable valve timing, when getting on the freeway.

It`s been around for a very long time, you can get it at most auto parts places like Auto-Zone,Advance Auto Parts etc. You can also add it to your crank case,(I don`t suggest that if your using synthetic oil) I alway`s keep some of it around. It comes in a red/black bottle, good stuff!

I believe it's a high octane naptha-like compound (judging by the smell) - like Techron. A couple of ounces in a tankfull of gas wouldn't boost the octane by a significant amount though. Don't know what else it might be doing (?)

Its a good lubrication for the fuel pump, valves, etc. Thats what I use it for.(lubrication)

Interesting..... I'll have to take a look at it again next time I'm in WalMart (maybe I'm confusing it with some other red and black bottle).

ok so let me get this straight, its a fluid you dump in the fuel tank to lube up all components leading up to fuel injectors but at the same time it will burn off or simply get discharged through the exhaust once it gets to the combustion chamber and leaves no residue inside that chamber

does that sound accurate?

Yes,as long as you use what is recommended. you cant dump in half a bottle or something. And it really helps the fuel injectors with this crappy winter fuel we have up here right now. Also,if your using conventional oil,you can add some to the crank case too.(hence the name, marvel mystery oil)
