Default Pass side mirror assembly replacement

The passenger side view mirror assembly needs to changed on the wifeys RX300 (don't ask how it broke....). I just ordered the part form the dealer.

Has anyone done this before? I did a search but nothing.

I know I need to remove the inner door panel, but before I go and start probing to see where the clips and screws are......any helpful hints or DIY procedures on this?

Thanks in advance.

I know this is an old post but i wanted to add here that I need to replace my driver side mirror and it's readily available (used) on for around $20 plus $5 shipping. Not sure how to replace it but I have someone who's an expert on 1st Gen RXs and, based on my prior experience, it's probably not all that complicated.

I just did this (passenger side) 2 months ago. Mirror had broken, but housing and adjusters were ok. Bought a complete used assembly off eBay for about $50. Color was 'close enough.' Hoped to just exchange the mirror itself but as I began to disassemble it appeared to somehow be a different method of attachment - perhaps there was some change along the way during production of the 1st Gen? Rather than risk breaking something I proceeded to swap complete assemblies. First you need to remove the black plastic triangular shaped cover piece that hides the screws that affix the mirror housing. However, because of the way the electrical wires are routed it is still necessary to remove the entire inner door panel - see necessary steps in the DIY section on this forum.
