question for mrsypher
I am interested in getting an Rmm exhaust for my Rex. Since you have the exhaust, can you tell me if the sound is loud and do you get a significant feel in acceleration from it.
Thanks

Get an Intake w/ the exhaust... It makes a world of difference.. Both combined gives you more power/torque and makes the exhaust run more freely giving you even better sound.... Hope this helps.....

Is the mpg worse after the exhaust was put on? What about the exhuast and the intake togehter? Im thinking probably it will be since more power usually means less MPG.
Also would getting a K&N filter have the same effect as an aftermarket intake when combined with the exhaust?

You should have about the same mpg, I haven't noticed a difference with my intake/exhuast setup. Of coures, your engine will breath better so if you punch it there will be a little bit more power available. The engine still takes in as much air as it needs while you are tooling around and is able to take in more than stock if you push it; that is where you will see a decrease in mpg...only if you are always pusing it.
Some members have reported better mpg with just a K&N filter change.

i just recently added an exhaust (not the rmm one, tho) and noticed a lil more "oomph" at the top end but i could tell it was a lil more sluggish off the line. after reading several postings on here that an intake, even a drop in high-flow filter, may alleviate that problem, i went out and bought one. i couldn't find any place that had the k&n filter in stock so i just went to the trd shop and picked up the trd one instead...i've only had it in one day but i've noticed a couple things: my exhaust is now louder, especially at idle and when i jump on the throttle; and now my lowend is more responsive than it was before i got intake. i dunno bout gas mileage yet but i'm glad to have my joint breathing better.
