Default Timing Belt Replacement Deal

For those needing a belt replacement and live near Charlotte, NC. Toyota of Lake Norman is running a special for $249+tax.

I confirmed that I could bring a RX in (Highlander) and they said no problem. For $539+tax, they have a timing belt water pump package which includes t-belt, water pump, coolant, and alternator, power steering and air conditioner belt replacement.

I have 107K now and plan on driving it until the wheels fall off, think the water pump deal is a better way to go?

That's what I thought, $539 is the price at Lexus for a T-belt replacement only.

I asked about a coupon for the $539 price and got the following:

THE $539.95 is the Southeast Toyota pricing. No coupon is needed for that service

So this is good for the SE US region.

Interesting - when I checked with Mark Jacobson Toyota in Durham last year they pointed out their web site coupon said from $249 plus tax (plus "fees", plus "shop supplies")! Ended up nearly as much as the Lexus dealer for the timing belt plus water pump (over $900).

Wow that sucks, when you do the timing belt the water pump is right there, takes probably less than 20 minutes to change it...(waterpump) I had toyota do both timing belt and water pump for $500....

That's a pretty decent offer, Lexus in the Chicago land area charges around $600 for just the T-belt replacement.
