Except it`s supposed to keep maximum air-flow through the radiator when driving. (you don`t loose any flow from underneath) That`s what I was told about the splash guard on my 87 300E. Weather it`s true or not,who know`s. But that`s Mercedes engineering. Mmm-Kay?
well a few weeks after i got the car we had a good snow and then it iced over and then got warm then got cold so basically there were these huge clumps of ice everywhere, i remember going down the road one day and hearing like something fell off the car, it was loud, i wasnt in a good spot to pull over and it was dark still cause it was still winter so when i got down the road i looked and smelled and tried to find anything that could be wrong, the only thing i could find wrong was theres a plastic clip that holds 2 or 3 little hoses right there in front and it was busted, and i wasnt sure if it was supposed to have a splash guard or not, i didnt know the first thing about cars, im a computer guy what can i say, so im pretty sure thats how it happend although i honestly dont know for sure.....whaomp whaomp waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
