Default rear view mirrors

Has anyone tried using the smaller HL outside rear view mirrors on the RX?

You're joking right? You, who complains about the RX SUV shortcomings wants smaller rearview mirrors!?! That's a strong suit of an SUV. The mirrors are nice and big, and work perfect for the RX. Small rearview mirrors look goofy on an SUV.

Additionally, if you compare the two, they don't mount the same.

Default mirrors

The first thing I do when I buy a made for USA vehicle is order a drivers side rear view mirror made for the rest of the world, CONVEX.

If I had wanted an SUV that looked like a truck I would have bought an Escalade and a pair of cowboy boots to go along with it.

The Rx's "elephant ear" mirrors are the only thing that seems out of place on this otherwise swell(**) looking vehicle.

I disagree. The RX mirrors are for an SUV which is what the RX is, not a truck. They are more tall than wide vs. many trucks having wider mirrors - towing purposes.

Cowboy boots with an Escalade, I don't follow. Never mind though, I think it was just some poor attempt at a stereotype. I guess those buying 50+k SUV's wear cowboy boots? Oh well.

I'll stop entertaining this subject now.
