Normally TURN SIGNALS do require a different flasher when you go to LED's. The LED's draw so little juice they won't cause a flasher to work properly.

Yes it will, as ive been through this myself.
I replaced the rear tail lights with the same LED bulbs. The indicator on my dash came on within a few hours after installing. I simply removed the indicator bulb from the rear of the dash (figured it would be quicker and cheaper than buying and installing 4 load resistors...
Then i replaced the front and rear directional bulbs with LED bulbs. They started to flash very rapidly. Had to put a load resistor between the + and - for each bulb...
And getting the 3" long load resistors to fit behind the rear tail lights (between the housing and the car) was very tight and takes some maneuvering. NO way in hell could you fit two resistors (one for tail and one for blinker). That's why you really need to take out the pilot light on the dash. The resistors (even with heatsink) do get VERY hot, so be careful not to touch them after they've been on.
As for parking lights and license plate lights, they're not hooked up to the "indicator light" circuit so you don't need a load resistor for these.
They've been running like this for 2 years or so with no problems.
