UGH. This is the biggest pain in the butt, almost impossible to be done without getting behind the dash.
I tried it once in attempts of doing a wood trim conversion, but ended up giving up. It might look like they just 'pop-off' but there are screws holding them to the dash, the head only accessible from behind. I couldn't find out how to get to the passenger one...
