seems like a lot of RX300 owners use Goodyear Comfortred tires with good results?

I have the Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring on my ES300, and they are fantastic. Very quiet and smooth tire. Combined with the ES300 suspension, I don't feel any imperfections. They are also excellent in the snow.
Another member here, CharBaby has GoodYear Comfortred on his RX300, I'll see if I can get him to post here!

(1) never had tires so fresh! manufacture date was 0414(4th week of 2014) and they don't come any fresher than that!
(2) decent price, $560 installed with road hazard and free lifetime rotate/balance at Sam's Club.
(3) quite
(4) nice soft ride (compared to Micheline CrossTerrains that I hated since day 1.. for 50,000 miles)
(5) acceptable snow/ice performance... tried on 6-inch snow with 1-inch ice underneath
(6) cornering is slightly scray, but I expected that from a soft tire like this
(7) speed bumps no longer feel like bone-jarring!
hope I don't change my opinions after a few hundred miles!

I ended up getting a set of Goodyear Comfortred Touring tires. Love them.

I've had them on my ES300 for 16,000 miles now, they show no signs of wear. And, I'm as happy with them now as I was on day 1. I too hope it stays this way till the very end of their life!

I guess my expectations of a tire were just different than what the comfort tread offered. I like rugged noisy tires that will plow through anything without skipping a beat.
But I will say the GYCT's were quiet as a mouse and did fairly well in the rain. I was just let down on the traction in winter weather.

travel much easier on most snowy roads, even when compared to my RX300. Unfortunately,
those metal studs caused a LOT of damage to my concrete garage floor. They also make
a LOT of noise... my neighbors have told me that they could hear me coming from 1/4 mile
away.
