Is there a DIY for the rear center mount brake light?

Default Is there a DIY for the rear center mount brake light?

Is there one for the rear center mount break light? The light is out.

Yeah, like I said before, rip it out. The trim is attached to the liftgate by about six clips along the whole trim.

Start by pulling at the center of the trim, straight back until the clips release. Then move out and pull again until the next set of clips release and keep working outwards towards the ends. DO NOT pull from the ends first and work in because you might bend the trim.

Once removed, you'll see the socket onto the trim piece. Twist counter clockwise to loosen and remove from trim. The bulb is a 921 wedge bulb, or 921LL for "long life" but don't waste money, non OEM never last more than a year. Then screw the socket back into the trim and put the trim back and give the clip area a nice punch with your fist. It should all snap back in.

Maybe someone might have pictures or a link to something previously discussed, but this is all that's entailed to remove that trim and light.
