This is true of the Lexus dealership but not true of locksmiths.

I know of one locksmith in town that does program in keys (lost key situations) for Lexus' all of the time. He does mail order too.

Take care,

Question Cellular Phone & Locked Keys

Some of you may have heard this tibit before but: If you accidently lock your keys in the car and you have a spare remote at home - call on your cell, get someone at home to point the remote into the phone, click unlock and you have your cell phone close to the doorlock. This will unlock your door. This works on some autos. I know it works for Hondas but I haven't tried it on my RX300 yet. It won't work for my son's jeep. I only have one key so I'm worried about it also. I guess I'll break down & buy a spare. Let me know if it works for you.
