Default Weird Light? Help Please!

Hey guys I am new here but I have a problem with my 2001 RX300. The other day a light came on but I have no idea what it is. When I checked the manual it just said bring to a lexus dealer. Can anyone please help me out so I know whats up before making a trip to the dealer. Sorry the pic is blurry but I think you get the idea. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Is your RX equipped with HID?

Are the lights trying to self level when you turn them on?

Last of all Do you have the owners Manual? It should list each warning lamp in the first few pages.

I'll go one step further than Salimshah, since my car doesn't have HID (high intensity discharge) headlights, and say you must have HID headlights on your RX and that is what the warning light is about. They have a leveling system to keep them from shining into oncoming cars when going up a hill, etc.

It's obvious by your pic that you have HIDs. This is the auto leveling system malfunction light. I also noticed that you are located in the northeast. It is common in that area for road salt to corrode the sensor located on the rear suspension. The sensor costs somewhere around $300 and dealer would most likely get $500 + for the repair. There hasn't been much success with disassembly and cleaning of the sensor but it may be worth a try. Here is a link that may help you complete with pics and other suggestions:

Yes the lights do try to self level. They seem to work fine or just as before the light comes on. I have looked in the manual all it said was "bring to a lexus dealer." I am going to check it out and see if i could possibly fix it myself. I def don't have the money to fix something like that right now. Thanks for the help guys. I will let you know how it goes!

that picture you posted above, is that from the gauge cluster or the manual? The pic shows black icon against white background- in the gauge cluster, it should be yellow icon with black background.

Yeah, most likely though, your sensor is corroded... Just pop out the bulb in the gauge cluster. If your headlights are aimed too low, manually adjust the height via the adjustment screws behind the headlights.
