My light started blinking continously. Took it to the dealer and they got Code B 0138. Said I Drivers Seat Belt Pretensioner was bad. Paid $465.00 to have it replaced. After 500 miles, blinking again. Anyone know if the airbag still works with the light blinking?

The dealership work typically is warranted for a year. So please take it back.
I dont have a definitive answer to your question. If I was to design the driver side would work independent of belt engaged or not, and for passenger side .. only if the weigh sensor says 60+lbs is on it.
