Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum and just want to say that from reading old threads that you guys and girls are the bomb. Great tips and information. I own a 99 RX300 since new with 130K and going strong. No major problems at all, just routine service. I have a weird squeak coming from the top of the steering wheel that is just annoying. Anyone have any thoughts?

Welcome to Club Lexus! You are indeed fortunate to have 130,000 mi and just routine service.
The common cause for steering wheel noise is the rubber seal where the steering column goes through the firewall. Could this be it? It usually is more common in colder weather. Some people have sprayed silicone spray or WD40 to eliminate the noise. I just go down to Florida in the winter

I had the same problem with my RX not too long ago. When I brought it in to the dealer for an oil change I made them aware of the noise. They lubed the bushing in the steering column and didn't charge me for it since I was already having service done.
