Worried about my RX300
Hey CL, im a new member and i am starting to get worried about my 2002 RX300 it doesnt seem to start up as loud or even as quickly and the creaks and groans i hear r not good. It has 70500 miles been to every service and has never been taken above 4500 RPM and is seat creaking normal? driving around on curvy roads makes the seats creak and i dont think i have ever heard that. I already know what I will replace when the time is up with this RX300. I will get a 2009 RX350 Black/Black with no nav right know my RX300 is worth about $15,000 should I trade it in now or wait a little bit more. I will attach pics later.
Ciao.

The first question is about your battery health.
You may like to jump the battery and see if the starter spins rapidly to start the vehicle.
If yes and the engine is not catching, then look at the air filter. You may need to clean the oxygen sensor.
Seat creaking is due to springs in the seat under the cushion. Some one posted how to remove the leather. Once you do that you can lube the squeak source.
Under steady market conditions, your RX is in a slow decline year to year. Additional milage and condition have a more significant impact at this time. Newer model introduction ripple down has already affected you (would be less severe n models away).
Economy and incentives will affect you the most. In $ense, the depreciation of the "newer" vehicle should be given due consideration.
If you already have the bug to move to the new vehicle and are annoyed by minor things, then no one can talk you out of it.
The economy will improve if people make purchases .
