Default Grinding metal noise

Hi everyone,

Since the past week I can hear a grinding metal noise that is coming from the passenger side rear when I turn around in the parking lot in my 2001 RX. It sounds like a piece of metal is rubbing against the ground. Initially I thought that maybe there is something wrong with the muffler, but my mechanic checked the car and everything seems to be in order. The car behaves this way only in the parking lot (mainly when going on a downhill or uphill slope). Any idea what this might be?

Thanks.

Volha

Jack up the rear and spin the wheels.

Walk besides the RX as you drive slowly.
