Once again, thanks to all who contributed to this thread.
I'm going out of town tomorrow and don't have time to order the new mast. Pulled the antenna unit/motor out, unplugged the power supply and will leave the antenna up until I can replace it.

I am probably going to have to do this in a bit. For the longest time in Mexico I had XM radio, but junked it when I got back to the U.S., now about to use an FM Modulator with Iphone and tape cassette adapter, but still the radio antenna will be used. My neighbor has an RX300 with an antenna that has crapped out along with one on his SC300. I told him that as soon mine is about to crap out, we will fix them together.

New issue popped up...looks like the "popping up"
problems are happening all the time now.
Antenna won't retract and tried many things to try and make it work but no go.
The bottom of the antenna right at the base of the outside chrome nut goes down a few inches but that's it.
Must I go through the whole enchilada and totally replace?
Rockauto? Prices about...
thx guys
One other thing...when outside and holding the antenna in my hand it vibrates. This is when the car is off.
Thinking out loud here but...is then the motor ok? and just the mast is broken at the bottom which is why
the antenna goes down a bit at the bottom but doesn't retract?

I can't even find a broken antenna motor assembly. I've never been able to even find an RX300 at any local yard around where I am (don't these old ladies ever get into wrecks)? All I need is the little plastic gear inside the motor assembly, mine is missing some teeth. Any ideas?

Just installed the power antenna mast that some idiot ( who me?) broke off in a car wash. Easy Schmeezy.
$29.95 with shipping from brentwood@ameritech.net also tech@antennaMastsRus.com. I am no ace auto, but anybody should be able to do this with a needle nose pliers to loosen the lock down collar. nthanks to all the above who posted help. NEXT CHALLENGE- fix the Drive D indicator light on the dash!!. Then tackle the slow lift gate supports. 108 stock as a rock miles with NO problems.

Did this fix today following Mark2008 and gazi001's instructions. I did not have to remove the hinged rear deck cover. Found 4 pieces of broken toothed spline in the can housing. Seems to be working perfectly. Thanks to all who contributed.
