Hello!

2 weeks ago comes the parts from USA to me home for my RX

Today, i changed the lamda sensor and the gaskets from the rear cylinders.

sorry, i can not write all text to all pictures with my bad english. To open the lower nuts from the header, you must open 1 screw of the power steering rack. to have a straigt way to the nuts. The gasket by the header was little bit leaky (you see on the pictures) the lamda sensor was very tight, but with spray and the big offset ring wrench was its easy to remove. but the thread was not the best and i tap new.

after them, we bridged the middle silencer, but the sound is louder, but not better. the 2 muffler absorb the good sound, you can hear in the video.

After changing the lamda, the engine runs smoother, no smell like gas and no lights! i test today again with my girlfriend ( ever with her comes the failure) and hope the failure is away for ever

here the pics:

pre-converter is good after 179tkm

leaky gasket

lamda sensor from inside

dismount lamda sensor

next step is modify the rear mufflers

Very beautiful photos, that exhaust video was music to my ears, sounds a lot like my old work...always a great feeling.

The sound goes in the right direction, but the silencer are constructed for legal and not for good sound

Hello!

A little update from my RX.

The Engine runs perfekt after changing the O2-Sensor. He need approx 12L petrol. before 14L and not good performance.

Next step is to biuld a new middle section with a 200 cells metal converter and a 2,5" small resonator for more sound with legal values

2,5" flange

200 cells metall converter 130mm

resonator

and a flex pipe to no resonance in the car

here pictures to have a size-idea of the converter, the converter is for 6L / 650PS left a IS300 converter

metall converter

original IS300 converter (Ceramic)

this week comes the resonator and i will beginn in 2-3 weeks with the section. my girlfriend becomes in the next 2 weeks our daughter, this is more important.

i installed a seperate in domelight for the front seats and modify the reading lamp

Hy!

Yesterday, i installed with my friend Sigi my new middle section! no roar in the inside of the car, the engine runs smoother, little bit more sound from the delta exhaust system, better gas-pedal response, the engine runs more relaxed, the rpm´s go faster up and on the street is the driving funny, its more agile

Group-Picture of all parts:

DIY O2-Sensor Flange

My friend Sigi by the work

the new middle section!

Boergy @ work

a little bit is do to correct to fit perfect on the car, this is next week to do. 3 hours we need to construct and install the middle section

Great work, Boergsn! I hope replacing the O2 sensor will finally cure your low idle engine problems. I love the dual exhaust work you've done and I'm going to do the parking light LED conversion as well soon.

Thanks for your write-ups and pictures too!

Hy JiBBeL!

Yes, after changing the O2 Sensor, the problems never come back! The engine runs better and need less gas (11-13L of 100km) The problem was, the O2-Sensor says the ECU, its to little gas, and the ECU gives more and more..... end the end was too much gas for the engine. i´m happy to find this failure and have no problems more

Tonight, i make a video on the outside of the car by driving

one mod more with LED

I changed the license plate lamps to led lamps from ebay (1 Dollar a pair)

Original light with GP-Thunder lamps:

LED vs. Original

only LED´s

and the rear of the car:

HY!

This week, i install the original converter with a flexpipe and a IS300 middle resonator. the delta Duplex exhaust will modify

The Streetpower woofer is sold, the Pioneer amp loves not the woofer, he switched off on high volume.

I bought a used Pioneer Subwoofer with 400W nominal, 800W peak. i constructed a good box for the RX (38,5L netto). The Sound is great! much more volume and more level

painted hole

make the carpet on the box

connector for the cable
