Which one GC 0W-30 or MB-1 0W-40 ? and why?

I may be side stepping your question but in reality, synthetic, mix, dino-oil should meet (and they do) the min requirements [flow, lubrication power, detergent]. The key is to replace them before the breakdown.

When fresh , one has the potential to be more longer lasting and based on their age and time of use a full synthetic may be worse than a no brand oil.

I think he tries to say, don't use full synth. during engine break-in, and change oil every 3K, i think, i'm dazed! as i always use full synth.

Market is full of products and hype. The bottom line is know the limitations of each .. specially the one you intend to put in.
