New to lexus: Headlight housing?
hello everyone
Im brand new to the website and to lexus
My 2000 RX300 awd 107K ( tranny hasnt died yet )
This is my first car ever and I bought used and so far have done all the service and preventative maintenance and more and it runs like one of the best a dream!, does anybody else drive their RX300 like a sports car? ha
On to my question!
I have installed some aftermarket Bulbs for my low beams 9006's and the bulbs are a little different then the Silverstar ultra's it had in them before in the fact that these are brighter but when placed in the exact same housing at the same adjustment height the beam is almost 2-3.5 feet lower then the halogen was when parked 20 feet away same spot
not a big deal right?
well
no, it makes them useless and I have already manually adjusted the screw to its max height and its still not the same height as my halogens were, so I figure I would ask here maybe I can manually adjust the housing of the light itself to point up a little bit more, and no its not blinding to others I don't use my brights. period. just fogs and lows always.
how would I go about this best?
to point the headlights up higher then the factory adjust screw will let me.?
I know these are installed correctly and there's nothing I can do about it and I don't want to go back to my old halogens, its just the new type of bulb with a different placement that makes them lower and I want to correct for it
