That's if it hasn't been changed already. I find the dealers will want to change the plugs as early as they can. I had mine changed out at 58K and again at recent 110K. I know they were meant to last until 100K, but the dealer "recommended" it, although I didn't ask for it. It was up to me to say "no" of course, but the first time I was about to go on a long road trip with the family, so I went for it. This time... ugh... it was "coil pack" related and they said I should change it.

14 mpg. seems pretty low. Dump a few bottles of fuel injector cleaner in there at every other fuel fillup and do that for three cycles. See how that does it. You might be able to pull out another 1 mpg, maybe 2.

I have the opposite thing happen to me. I, incorrectly assumed that the plugs were replaced at 90k [did not look at the invoice] and around 140k, I got the misfire code. Called the dealer and asked if the plugs were changed at 90k and the answer I got, the plugs are scheduled to be changed at 110k miles.

I guess each dealer is different.

What is your tire side? Are they 225/75/16 (stock side) or 235/70/16(one plus side)? The 225/75/16 should give you better mpg. Clean your air filter. Also, bump up the tire pressure. Try 36 all around and see what happen.

"after they changed them out, the car revs up to 1300 RPM sounds like a Fairly loud peice of Junk car for about 5 minutes then idles at 800 RPM or so after its warmed up"

I wish mine would start up and go right to 750 rpm. I hate that fast idle/delay shift crap when its cold!!

yeah I wish they hadnt changed anything, it used to sound so nice, I had the quietest car in the family, you could sneak around anywhere with this thing and you wouldnt hear a thing.
now I have a weed eater that is probably quieter then this at startup around 1300-1400 rpm

slowly this car is becoming a problem.. well no, Im just spoiled by how a great car should work and now im being picky on this one with little things

as long as I get from point A to point B and im relatively happy with how it does it. Then all is well.

Just by posting it here your problem got solved

The lawn mower sound could be a leak in the exhaust. Fairly typical in RX flex connector.

Just by going to 93, you got 3 mpg more? I find that very surprising. Did you have any driving habit changes during this tank, like say you went from 80% local to 80% highway? That would be quite amazing, if not a miracle...

Here in IL i've been averaging 18-19 mpg. In about 60% city and about 40% highway driving. I take off slowly (below 3000 rpm) and only go about 5mph above speed limit. So maybe your climate?
