the button that opens the center cupholders that pop out of the center console between the front two driver seats is missing on my newly purchased 02 lexus I went to Lexus and they want 400$ for the whole console they don't sell it individually, does anyone know where I can get one?

Maybe a close-up photograph of the area of the missing/broken button might help in suggesting a fix.

There are Lexus junk yards parting out RXs, if you decide to replace the whole center console. If there are none locally, you can look on eBay and then ask about that particular part.

Junk yard would be best bet as I doubt Lexus is going to part a single button from a whole assembly for sale. It's not exactly the same as say a light switch. Or hey, leave it open, it's not really "in the way" when open and if you need to put anything on top, just close the cover and put whatever you want on top. The spring action is not super strong anyway.

eBay usually has small parts like these and in my experience it's usually cheaper than local junkyards...

I took a look at my button today. I didn't photograph it though. It is a button on top that then withdraws a small latch underneath when pressed.
