For some reason it doesn't look like the TTE one, I may be wrong, but it looks like a custom job. Once he revs it, it doesn't sound too bad, but the loud ticking in between is annoying. It sounds like it's set at a very low boost, because I hear a lot psssst.

Supposedly, the TTE one adds like almost 50 hp to the vehicle, but I've heard that it does less. I still admire the fact that TTE came out with this.

Just my own opinion, but I think that this supercharger would be helped out if people did the backend work (exhaust, cooling, basically engine support, even tranny) before one of these were installed. I'd feel somewhat comfortable putting in a supercharger or turbo into my own RX300 given the work I've done already, including on the tranny.

Our Russian colleagues have done some fantastic work on Harriers/RX300s. Occasionaly, I look (via translator) on Russian Lexus forums and am very impressed at the ideas, ingenuity, workmanship that goes into their modifications. Very bold stuff.

I think the cost is prohibitive. Last time I checked on the pricing, it was above $10K, but still above $5K in Europe.

That sound is both the whine and vent from the compressed air when he let's off the throttle and the plate's close. The unit in the video looks like a water-to-air intercooler mounted topside.

Yes, I have frequented the Russian Lexus forums using a translator. They do some outstanding work on their RXs out there. I have very high praise for their owners and mechanics.

I think costs are not too high for them compared to us. I know it's something like 6K or something for a TTE one out there from what I recall. Some of them have U.S.-spec RX300s they brought from across the Atlantic, some others have brought in Harriers and some have the Euro-spec Harriers that have a bit less power. I think they've had at least one person crash a supercharged RX from one of my readings.

They're very similar to how we discuss topics in our own RX300 forum. What the best oils are, very heavy into maintenance. I guess it's just an itch that's contagious in different parts of the world.

These are two such forums (the translate link might help most of you).
