Default need a little help

I have a rx 300, 2002, the check engine light is on, along with the vcs and trac off light, my local shop told me that it could be either the gas lid's seal has a leak, the compter brain or a fuel leak, two of the three problems will cost a bit, the gas lid was only a few bucks. but lights keep coming on after i bought a new lid, has anyone else came across this problem?

well you have a few options: 1)try auto-zone and see if they still pull codes from the obdII for free

2)take to an indipendant shop and have them tell you what they are

3) or my favorite option, buy a little obdII reader of your own,its a little orange scanner they sell at auto-zone.believe me,with these vehicles it`ll pay for itself in no time.i think the pocket scanners are around 60-80 dollars. (p.s dont forget to write them down if you have it done, but most places will charge you to read them)
