Default Parktronic

Folks, does anyone know if there is such a thing as an aftermarket equivalent of "parktronic" or "parking assist" available for Rx300?

Any info would be appreciated.

There are some aftermarket electronic parking aids available. They aren't vehicle specific and basically consist of rear mounted sensors with a speaker wired into the cabin of the vehicle. That's about all I know about them, but they do exist.

I've checked cartoys.com and can't find anything there.
Do you happen to remember any specific sites/vendors?

Thanks

Default Hell Yeah

It seems that that is just one thing what is not available in USA and it is available in Europe , here is possibility to buy park distance control like dealer option, you can buy itb with 3 ($450) or 4 ($600) sensors, they are made by DENSO ,
I really don't know why they are not available in USA
Before one month I had nice colision with the wall , with new back feneder cover I invest in also "Park Assistance" (caled by Lexus)

Anyway, it is the same model of PA which is sold for Lexus IS300.

All I could find was this informational web site:
http://www.globaldenso.com/TECHNOLOG...rts/index.html

No sales info though, on any of DENSO's many web sites.

them crazy japanese people have those nifty toys where you mount a camra in the rear bumper or rear license and a small screen in the front so when you back up you can see if you are going to hit. Pretty cool but dont seem to know where to get one at

Try this site. At $209.95 it is not a bad price and one of the cheapest I found. The voice warning system sounds a bit cheap and annoying. Click on the Interactive Demonstration to hear it yourself.

Thanks for the info.
Though I agree that "voice warning system sounds a bit cheap and annoying".
I guess I'll have to keep looking.

nevio:
That looks good but apparently its not available in the US, since no such link shows up at lexus USAs RX300 page.
I'll ask my dealer about it when I take my RX for its 15K service in just about a week or so.
Thanks everyone.
