I know some of you have gone to a 235/70-16.But has any one tried going to a 235/65-16?? the reason I ask this is because I would like a wider looking tire on the RX.And I believe this would be a nice looking combination.

Yeah, that would be cool, I was thinking about a 235-60-16 not too long ago, but ended up taking another set of 235-70-16 Crossterrains last year, but for my next tires I am looking at them. I might consider, if the size is right, those Goodyears that have lower rolling resistance.

You can run 245's on the RX300, but not with the stock wheel offset (they will likely rub):

Don't know if stepping down to a 65 profile tire would cure this.

Pity, 'cause 245/65x16 would look nice, but I don't think you want to buy new wheels at this point

Yeah,Im just afraid it will look a little stupid with a lower profile tire.(actually I was hoping their were some Guinea pigs out their) so I could see what it looks like first.

Well, there would be less than 1/4 inch difference in radius:

so I don't think they will be visibly different.
