oxygen sensors and exhaust leak
I have a 2000 RX300, about a week ago a leak developed in the y-pipe, by the time I got it to the dealer the check engine light was one. They replaced the pipe, reset the computer and the check engine light came back on , they said all three oxygen sensors are showing bad and need to be replaced at around $1000. I replaced all three about 18 months ago. Should an exhaust leak burn out the sensors? if so, how hard is it to replace them.

Everyone complains about the salesman but the real cons in the car industry are the service departments!!! LOL It's there job to find things wrong with the vehicle or that may go wrong in the future, it's very easy to pull codes and replace the bad oxygen sensors for a lot less on your own or any shop, doesn't have to be a Lexus dealer @ whatever insane hourly rate they charge for service.

All codes seemed to have cleared on their own. I am hoping that the exhaust leak just screwed up the airflow over the sensors and they have reset themselves
