Default Any auto parts store the stock A/F Sensor?

I need one right now for my wifes car. I'm going out of town for a few weeks and would like to change it out today. 2000 RX300. Sensor 1, Bank 1. From what I have read, everyone says to stay away from aftermarket / universal. Does anyone stock the Denso? Napa, Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts are in my area, maybe same sensor, but for a different car such as the Avalon or another Toyota? Thanks.

I'm in Long Island, NY.

A comparable vehicle would the the Toyota Highlander V6 from 2001-03, becaues certain V6 Toyota engines of that era had differences in the 1MZFE engines.

I know most of those auto stores and I think a good number of them go with Bosch or some other aftermarket job.

What was the actual code you got?

Just called Napa and they have a "Walker" sensor in stock for 189.99. Anyone ever used that brand? From what I have read, it's a pain to remove the sensor, so I really dont want to do it twice...

Walker makes some good mufflers and cats, but I'd have to mention the same advice I've mentioned before, stick to the Densos for the A/F sensors.

I'd stick like to know what the CEL/OBD2 code you got that said Bank 1, Sensor 1, just to make sure.

You can get a Denso OEM for $127 plus shipping at many on-line sites.

I got mine on Amazon for $126 and had it shipped next day air for only $3.99. Search for Denso 234-9009 which is the OEM part for Toyota/Lexus. This was a brand new authentic Denso OEM sensor.

The only place locally would be a dealer and they will charge you about $200 before tax. I would only put the OEM sensor in from what I've seen here and LOC.

Chin- I agree with those that have said use only Denso, and as has been said, you can buy it online for $125.+ I would not use an aftermarket A/F ratio sensor. You may have it done by now, but whenever you have a double code on 1 sensor like that, I would try unplugging it and spraying both sides with electronic "Contact cleaner and lube". Then plug and unplug a couple of times. connector contacts get dirty without even looking dirty and can have you buying parts that you didn't need. I have seen it quite a few times. You can get the cleaner at Radio Shack or similar store. Just a thought.

Appreciate the advice, before I only had 2 codes, drove the car with the scanner plugged in as I did some running around and here is what i got:
P1130, P1135, P0300, P0301, P0303, P03035 and P0172... The car will bounce between 500-1000 rpm a few times and then go back to normal... otherwise it drives normally.

You're running rich (more fuel than air) and those P030X codes are misfires. The misfires/ignition coils I'd take a look at first rather than going to change the a/f sensors. What I'd do is take out one of the 3 ignition coils on the rear and put it on the front bank, recheck the codes and see if you get one of the front banks with a code like P0302 (front driver's side), P0304 (front middle) or P0306 (front passenger side)

P0300 is a random code- ignore it
P0301 is the coil on the rear passenger side
P0303 rear middle
P0305 rear driver's side.

You could have a bad batch of gas, but when you get misfires, that's also going to set off a/f sensor codes and also either P0171 or P0172. If those coils bit the bullet, that's the thing to change first before a/f sensors.

I was having these same problems and please don't overlook cleaning the MAP sensor, I was going to replace both my AF's and read Colin Barber's post on "RX300 Series1: Cleaning MAF sensor" and just saved myself $300+, plus it would not have fixed my problem. Just 5 minutes and a little cleaning did the trick. Much thanks to Colin Barber!

I got the P1135 code the other day. Before buying the sensor, I disconnected the negative battery terminal for a few hours to reset the code and see if it comes back. As soon as I started the car, the cel was back on and my radio presets were still there. Is this normal?? I remember loosing the radio presets and the cel being cleared every other time I disconnected the battery. I thought this was strange behavior.
