My '99 RX300 blows the 7.5A gauge fuse repeatedly for no apparent reason. It just started about a month ago. It happens randomly, with no connection that I can see to anything I'm doing with the car while I'm driving. Turned off the A/C, then didn't use the power windows, nothing helped. Before it started, I had the "check engine" light on. After I replaced the fuse, the ligth didn't come on. Blows my gasket just to think what might be wrong. Maybe, I should take a second morgage and just take the car to the dealer...

I wouldn't expect the guage fuse to reset anything that would cause the CEL to not trigger. Does the CEL still illuminate during the bulb test when you first turn on your car? If not this may be a place to start looking.
