Default Air Mix Servo

I just tried to use my heater for the first time. I bought the car during the summer so I do not know if it had worked last season. I get no heat whatsoever. All the modes work perfectly--I removed and cleaned the mode servo because it was making noise and working erratically. It works fine now but the noise is still there. I assume it is the dreaded air mix servo. I hear it is really hard to replace. Does anyone have how tos or tips for replacing this servo? Am I going down the right path? Thanks!

Are you using the Auto mode?? try turning it all the way up and see what happens. Also make sure your anti freeze is full.

Coolant is full. The air mix servo does not appear to be opening the damper. It must be pulled out anyway because the contacts on the servo are dirty causing it to make clicking noises. I cleaned the mode servo which operates perfectly now, without clicking noise. I need to get the air mix servo out to repair. While fixing the Mode servo, I noticed the air mix servo is behind the coolant lines. I hear it is difficult to get out. Thanks.

I've taken both of these out to clean both of them. Its no that hard to take the servo behind the coolant lines. And as you would know....the car must be cool before doing this, those coolant line get hot quick.
