I just brought my car in today to get the 30k mile checkup. Im just a little curious as to how much everyone else paid for their 30k checkup.

When I go pick up my car in a few hours, Im gonna have to shell out $680 (+$50 if the a/c air filter needs changing). 30k is a major checkup, but $730 (I know my air filter looks horrible and they will want to change it) is a freaking lot of money! That seems a little excessive to me. my wallet is gonna weigh a hell of a lot less after 3pm.

I think billyboy's 15k service was quite expensive too. Man, billyboy you, should inquire about your 30k service and save up now or something.

The dealer here charges ~$189 for every service except for the 20k or 25k service (~$400, I forget which one) and this 30k service. They claim them to be major checkups so thus an increase in service charges. Apparently from what Im reading on this newsgroup, every dealer is charging different amounts. Some differing in abotu $100. Geez.

Is anyone else paying this much for the 30K checkup or is the dealer spending my money on new golf clubs?

Why dont you change the ac filter your self and the engine filter yourself. I bought these filters from a online lexus parts dealer for 29.00 for the ac filter and 19.00 for the engine filter and put them in myself the dealership wants 80 dollars for the two filters and charge 30 dollars to put them in when it only takes 5 minutes to do it yourself.

Who told you 30k was a major?

Someone unbiased, right?

Look at you owners manual, your first "major" should be at 90k!

Anything in between, each 7.5k, should be about $50 to $75.
