Ive had this light for a few weeks. Ive erased code 5 times and still comes back. Ive cleaned MAF sensor, air filter is clean, all air hoses seem to be connected and can find any leaks. Lexus wants to charge $140 to diagnose problem. Ive read some threads and people seem to rule out the O2 sensors. I was just wondering if anyone had any input on to what I should change before handing Lexus $140. Thanks
The P0171 code is only code im getting. The download shows up as two times in code reader.

One thing that may help me understand this and I'm not sure if I have asked this before is if you've been able to clear the P0171 error, but then it comes again later.
If so, under what set of circumstance is the P0171 coming on. Are you driving, idle, parked, at what mph, where is your foot on the accelerator (1/2, 1/4?). Does the light come on shortly after taking off from a red light or when decelerating. That might give me some ideas.
I can tell you that with my RX300, though it's modified of course, I will throw a P0171 shortly after I pull out and go down the street if I floor it.
