SNG 02 sensor wrong connector?
I had the CL come on and had code telling me bank 1 sensor 1. purchased a
SNG SN4-48 direct replacment 02 sensor and the connector had a extra rib on it and would not fit so i cut off the connector from the old 02 sensor and spliced it on the new one. Cleared the code and after a minute CL comes on once more.
I thought maybe I reversed the black wires so I swapped them , still getting CL light!
If the 02 sensor is a Direct replacment then why did the connector be different?
Has anyone used the SNG 02 before?

Experienced posters tend to believe that the only 'direct replacement' for these sensors is OE. I recently had to replace my Bank 2 Sensor 1 a/f sensor; dealer wanted $300 for the part; I found an on-line supplier of original equipment parts and it cost me $125. Fit perfectly; code gone.

The one I bought one made by "SNG" ?
I was reading some other posts and they say that the DENSO #2349009 is a direct replace for the lexus #

I personally would stick with Denso. Bosch is a respected name in automotive parts, but in the last few years I have read of too many Bosch parts either not working right or failing. I no longer buy Bosch parts. It's enough to have to do the work on your vehicle, I'm not interested in the frustration of a CEL after I have installed the new part.

That should be correct. I believe the 10 digit # the original part carries is owned by Toyota so even though Denso makes the part, in order to sell it they must use the different part# which is their own. Should be the same part. What was the part # on the SNG sensor that you bought? The black wires should work either way, it is the heater and should be a simple completion of circuit which should work either way. That's why the black wires aren't further identified.
