Default door lock was fixed?

so i did the door actuator piggy back mod. it all worked. driving home from my buddy's house where we did the mod i park and lock my door and nothing worked again. i'm going to look at it when i can. any ideas?

yeah i'm thinking it's the wiring. because i know for a fact that motor and the rod are on there tight. we shall see thursday. i'll take some pictures of the mod and post them up.

This happened to me. After many months, piggy-back stopped working. Actuator had slipped out of position. In the original install I was concerned about over-tightening actuator mounting screws. As it turns out, I didn't make them tight enough.

thanks man i'm looking into it tomorrow night when i get home. it might be that because i hear it working.

turns out that the connecter that plugs into my drivers window switches wasn't plugged in all the way, thus it was giving me trouble. almost took my entire door apart before i figured that out. but it works well now. any ideas on how long this actuator lasts?
