Hello,
Does anyone else have leather that is wearing off on the steering wheel? My armrest not only has cracked leather, but is peeling.
The dealership told me that they were told from Lexus that "No leather defects are covered." I bought it used, certified, from the dealership, and it is still under the original warranty.
I have learned that before I bought it, they coated the steering wheel and armrest with a liquid to cover the peeling leather. When I bought it, the steering wheel and armrest looked fine, UNTIL this coating wore off. I feel as though the leather problem should be taken care of under warranty...not just covered up with a "liquid leather" that is going to wear off.
How can I fight this? Any thoughts are appreciated!

i'm having the same issue with the front part of my driver's seat. i brought it back to the dealership and they put that liquid leather crap on it to cover it up as well...it's starting to wear off again after only a few months...i'm not sure if leather is covered under warranty but they "fixed" it the first time under warranty...i'm gonna have them fix it for real this time...
