ObiDon,

I'm sure you'll love the Philips Silvervision. As for the front trun signals, don't our headlights have a yellow plastic that covers the turn signals? I was thinking of changing the front ones too, but then as long as the yellow shield cover is still there, it'll beat the purpose of removing the yellow bulbs. Don't you think?

You're right hendry. I think there is a shield there. Maybe it can be broken an removed like some of the GS guys did...with the fog lights I think.

yes, I remember doing it to my old GS as well. Basically I used a screwdriver and "crack" the shields from the sides. If you hammer the screwdriver straight in, becareful not to damage the headlamp housing itself. Try to crack them into smaller pieces, so it's easier to "shake" the pieces out up-side down. Or you can clip the pieces out. Make a clean crack, make sure there's no more small bits and pieces still sticking to the base.

But here's what I wonder. On the GS foglights, they use 9006 type bulbs, and for us, it's the smaller turn signla bulbs. Would the hole openings be wide enough for us to easily remove the cracked pieces? hm.....

damn i'm very tempted in doing that... i remember talking to my lexus dealer and he told me he got those done professionaly on is300's and gs's... but he has never tried it on a rx300.. but he did say he can probably do it for around 200.... or so....
