Sorry on not being specific in my info.
3rd gen Camry had this issue. New bulbs but indicator remained on.
Replaced/repaired the "box", light went out.
I've seen it in a couple of friends/family Toyota vehicles. I'm pretty sure the RX300 has the same circuitry.
Although Salim, You're right on wrong wattage bulbs that were put on. It also would trigger the indicator light.
It would'nt hurt just to open the "box " up to chech if there is any burnt resistors.

Light warning indicator
TY to all the advice. I missed the high mount stop light. After installing a new bulb, indicator light no longer lit up when I step on the brake but comes on when I turn the light on. One of the license plate bulb is out. Easy fix. Again, thanks to all.
