Well, the TV commercials sucked me in...
I used it on the interior of my RX. This stuff cleans beautifully and smells great (Clean). My Ivory interior came back like new.
The area around the door speakers had taken some shoe scuffs and mud. The arm rests and window sill got a little funky with forearm contact (or is it elbow grease?). Just a few licks with the included microfiber towel and I was amazed.
This stuff was like magic. I used it all over the seats, doors
and dash. It has special instructions for glass, so I didn't use
it there. It also warns against use on clear plastic, so I also
skipped the instrument cluster and digi screen.
Interior-wise this stuff get a thumbs up.
A fun, inexpensive way to get "in-touch" with your RX.
$7.84 from Wal-Mart.
Next up...The exterior.

I don't think I've ever heard of that stuff. What is it exactly? Do you have a picture?
Oh, and "elbow grease"
I actually laughed out loud on that one
Oh, and "elbow grease"

What is it?
Pennzoil Total Care is a waterless all-in-one car cleaner that's a wash and a protectant for all vehicle surfaces. The product gives a car the look of high-quality detailing in the same amount of time it takes to wash a car. It can be used to treat the trim, dash, moldings, bumper, windows, paint, door panels and leather and vinyl seats, eliminating the need for separate products for each task. It also hides surface scratches and protects against UV damage.
Includes: A big bottle of the stuff, A microfiber towel, and an huge applicator sponge
Oh, yeah...Pennzoil Total Care also won Popular Mechanics award for Outstanding Achievement in New Product Design and Innovations
I told you the commercials sucked me in.

Here's a pic out of the box..You really get
a big bottle of this stuff. 20 Fl. oz. It was
introduced to focus groups as "Total Shine".

Wow, they sure marketed that stuff to cover a lot of areas of car maintenance:eek: I've always felt that products that did many things didn't do any of them very well. It's beyond me how it can protect my paint and leather...AND glass ![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
But, you seem to have had good results with it, and Popular Mechanics isn't some third rate magazine handing out awards for nothing (unless maybe they were paid).
I'll stick to my one-in-one products for now
But, you've sure got me intrigued. I'll keep that in mind next time I drag myself to Wal-Mart. I'll have to check it out.

Now the exterior...
Got up early and dropped a dollar at the jet-spray car wash to remove all loose dirt. Drove 1.4 miles home and toweled off the RX. I read the instructions and gooped it on the applicator sponge (Big sponge here!) and wiped it on. Application was a snap.
It removed bugsplats like magic. Blew right through waterspots.
Then it was time to rub it/buff it with a clean 100% cotton towel.
Well now, while this was easier than traditional car wax, it took considerable time to remove/rub the product and get a proper shine. The problem is my dark vehicle (Black Onyx). This stuff is like Rain-X (contains petroleum distillates) and, unless you wipe it repeatedly, it leaves a rainbow-like residue which shows up on the dark surface. Sort of like oil on water. I had to rub and buff the finish three times , top to bottom.
I tried it on my 2nd car (white finish) and it was great. Again, it cleaned like magic and shined up beautifully. No visible residue at all. No rainbow-like residue, either.
So, my review? Interior work...Thumbs up! Leather, vinyl, trim, dash, moldings, door panels. Cleans really well and protects in one step. Smells great, too. I'll use it regularly.
Exterior? Thumbs up for lighter colored vehicles. Fast application. Cleans really well. Try something else if you have a dark vehicle.

Use nothing but MacNeil Weatherflectors:
Front & Rear Weatherflector for
2002 Lexus RX 300 @ 79.95 = 79.95
UPS shipping @ 4.00 = 4.00
Total cost of items = $83.95
Got them at: Roadworks Auto
Enjoy!
PS. My Lexus dealer wanted $110 for 4, plus $40 to install them.
Yeaaahh riiiightttt
