Two problems, not too major, but I want to get them fixed.
1. When starting the car, I hear a loud squeak/squeal noise. I think it might be from one of the belts... I'm not too sure what it is though since I am not too familiar with cars. (Doesn't happen often at all, maybe 1 in 5-10 starts)
2. This is a problem I really want fixed. When I am driving and idling (in stop and go traffic for example). When I am completely stopped and then I start to accelerate, there is kind of a grind and a grunt coming from the front right tire. This is only when going from 0 mph. Also, it feels like the front right tire is slipping?? I am not sure how to describe this problem at all. This doesn't happen very often at all either. But it was very noticeable and occurred often after the snowstorm in the northeast (US). I am worried as to what this may be.
* I went in for a 30-point maintenance check which I got for free from the dealer since they were holding a promotion (free 100 dollar gift card and complimentary inspection!). I declined all work except for an oil change. They still recommend I get cabin filter changed, spark plugs changed, power steering flush, transmission fluid flush, and they claimed that there was a front differential leak.
I immediately thought that the leak might be related to the second problem, so I went to my own mechanic, I trust this guy and he does honest work. He said there was no leak???
So what is that problem I mentioned above?? I am not sure at all.
Thanks in advance for reading this long post.

Let me start by saying that I don't consider myself an expert.
Problem #1 sounds exactly like you need to replace the two accessory drive belts. Many forum members have suggested using OEM replacement belts. Access is through a panel that unscrews behind the right front tire. The hardest part is knowing how much belt tension is appropriate.
Problem #2 is not as easy. A sticking caliper comes to mind. A wear sensor trying to tell you that you need disc pad replacement (although the inspection should have discovered this)? Make sure (at start-up) that the traction warning light works, and that it isn't lighting when the slipping condition occurs. These are guesses; I should have totally defered to those more expert.
