I WAS GOIN TO ROTATE TWO OF MY TIRES WHEN I WAS LOOSENING THE FIRST LUG NUT, (THE WHEEL LOCK) AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT SNAPS. I TOOK THE KEY OFF AND I SHATTERED THE INSIDE OF THE WHEEL LOCK KEY AND BROKE THE LUG NUT LOCK. I MEAN I DID A GOOD JOB BREAKING IT. LOL. BUT ANYWAY WITH SOME TIME (TWO WEEKS) AND TALKIN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THEY WERE UNDER WARRANTY AND REPLACED THEM FREE FOR ME. BUT THAT DAY WHEN I BROKE THEM I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO A WHEEL SHOP AND THEY HAD TO BREAK OFF THE OTHER THREE, JUST INCASE I NEEDED TO GET THOSE TIRES OFF TOO. BUT ANWAY I WAS HAPPY WITH THEIR RESPONSE TO WHAT I DID AND HOW THEY HANDLED IT, THEY SAID IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. JEEZE SOMEONE MANUFACTURE BETTER WHEEL LOCKS, LOL

Hm.... that's what happens when manufactures want to reduce cost and produce lower quality products... and unfortunately Lexus decided to save cost as well and bought the cheap wheel locks.
that's not good at all, if it's easy to break, what's the whole idea of having the wheel locks?

so when you take it to the dealer for service and they go to rotate the tires, ..... I guess they'll just give you another wheel lock and charge you out the ying yang for it, right?
I agree with the poster above. Lexus really should use better quality parts. I mean, we pay enough for our cars; Lexus should pay enough for the parts.
