The bussing or winning noice from the transmission
I read someone asked the whining noice coming from the location of the starter. I had the same bussing or whining noice for the RX300. After I changed the ATF and the filter, the noice is gone. The ATF was dark brown and filthy. The clogged filter restricted the flow of the ATF and caused the whining noice.
The manufacture sticker saying NO NEED TO REPLACE the ATF may misguide us.
