Question Back this up?

This is the problem I am having with my door.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...k-problem.html

I found this article looking around online and think its pretty legible. Can anyone help me back this up and make sure that if i do any of this it will possibly work? I plan on doing it tomorrow while my grandson is over to help me. This person is having the exact problem i am having to the dot!

I just want to program my new key so i can retire the old one and give it a break, and also have that master in case i lose it again....
So thanks for any replies!

Still struggling to understand either of your posts. Is the problem the key or the door actuator? Both? Neither?
