105,000 service visit and VSC/engine light on now
I don't know if this has happened for anyone else, but if you have ideas as to what the problem may be, please let me know!
Last Friday I took my 2001 RX300 in for the 105,000 service visit, which included a fuel injector cleaner and changing the charcoal filter (among other things). I picked it up on Saturday and when I was driving on Sunday, the VSC and check engine lights came on for the first time ever. I took the car back in on Monday and was told it might be the O2 sensor. They checked the code and said it looked like the O2 sensors were working fine and the service visit might have tripped the warning light for no reason (first part that didn't make sense to me). I asked whether the fuel injector cleaner would cause it to happen. At first I was told no and then the service manager came and told me it could trip the warning light if the gas in the tank was low when the fuel injector cleaner was added. It was only at a 1/4 tank when they added it. So, we concluded that was the problem and they reset the warning light and I left.
The next day, the warning lights came back on. I'm very suspicious that the lights just happen to come on the day after a service visit and have a hard time believing something wasn't done wrong. Can anyone out there think of what could be the problem? I haven't called the dealership back yet because I think they'll just say I need to replace the O2 sensor and are charging $367/sensor! I am also wondering if the fuel injector cleaner could have damaged the sensors.....

Lets start by having the code read. Lots of autoparts stores can read the code for you.
Once the error code is known, we can speculate the reason. It might be related to the service performed and it could very well be a coincidence.
Either case, I think you should call the service dept and tell them that the check engine light has come back. If you dont then they may think the problem has been solved.
Can you tell us, why the charcoal filter was replaced? Is it the cabin filter, which is charcoal activated or are we talking about the fuel evaporation charcoal canister.

We currently have both a RX an a 2002 Highlander
Not sure if this is the same issue, but on the Toyota Highlander V6 (same motor) when you replace the air filter a hose on the back side often detaches itself. It causes the VSC failure you described and a CEL. This happened to me after replacing the filter.
Check the hoses on the back of the air filter housing.
