Default Sonar Tail Light Installation

I recently purchased a set off Ebay installed them this weekend but having a problem. Outer set of lights work great turn signal and all, however on the inner set the lights do not illumunate but the reverse indicator lights work. Now when I reverse the LED connection the lights illuminate but then quickly blow the tail light fuse. I see that quite a few members have purchased the same or similar lights, is there any additional step that I may have missed? Kit came with photo copied instructions that were not the best. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried LED load equalizers and those had no effect.

I would assume that the lights wouldn't come on at all if that were the case.

I found this http://scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71246 I tried what was suggested however I am still getting blown fuses.

Well I happen to receive this reply from the seller today,

"You need a 4-8 amp resistor" Zomkspeed

This info was not with the instructions and you would think the LED tail lights would've already come with that. I can only hope this helps someone in the near future. So far I've blown about 20 fuses spent about $60 in accessories trying to get these to work. Right now my vehicle is in the shop so repair costs are still to come. Well you live and you learn.

Lights plus shipping totaled $225. They look great on my vehicle. I just wish I had been given all the info upfront
