Default Antenna stuck/ motor working

A few days ago. turned radio off and the motor was running like it was trying to take antenna down but it would go down a little and bind up. I read a thread that said to put oil up the drain tube under the the fender where antenna is. Did not work is there any insite to getting this to work and if worst case has any replaced it (DIY steps to that). The motor is running but its just not bringing the antenna down. Any help would be helpfull. Thank you in advance.

Default Antenna

When the motor continues to run, when trying to stow the antenna, the most likely cause is a broken antenna mast push/pull nylon cable. This is somewhat of a common problem.
You can do a search on the forum and find the instructions for replacing the mast. The job of replacing the antenna mast may take a couple of hours at most. Not a difficult job but there is a fair amount of panels to remove for access.
I purchased my replacement mast from an eBay seller that had Toyota/Lexus parts for somewhere between $50.00 and $60.00. Not sure if Amazon has the part.
