Default HIDs, Corner Marker bulbs, XPEL or no XPEL questions

I am going to be doing some mods in the next few weeks and need some advice on some items

1)Which HID should I get

A) The Phillips xenon from autolamp. I think the 4000K are $579 & 40 credit for cl members and the 6000K are $679

sprinteees installed them on his RX300 they look awsome. Tried to attach a pic

B) The Hella HID the kit is HID PLUS 7000K. It's a product of SPW Industries. part # SPW70.10.60. That's what I got. For violet, it's SPW70.13.60. Which I found on-line for $450. LXOGOOD installed them on his sc300 they look nice and the price is right. and I can say I have "HELLA "lights which sounds "HELLA" cool tried to attach a pic

2) Should I get the HIDs in Blue or Hyper White ? I like the Blue but Hyper white seems to be a new color

3) I got the Autbac clear markers for the front and back, what bulbs should I use for them Blue or Super White ?

4) Has anyone done the XPEL protectant on the RX300. I have a Silver one will it look O.K. Would you do it to yours for protection ? Or will it do more harm than good. I am worried about yellowing or corners peeling. Any advice ?

Looking forward to your input. I will post pics, prices and websites when I am done. The PICS ATTACHED belong to Sprinteews and LXOGOOD, hope you don't mind I borrowed your pics and used your names for reference

I'd go with Phillips HID's for sure. As for 6000k or 4200k, it's your choice. I went with 4200k because I wanted the OEM HID look and color, and it is exactly that.

I would go with xpel too - good protection. Can't it be removed if it starts turning yellow?

Nick is right (LexRX)...... The OEM is a nice look for theHID's... Me personally I'm undecided as towhich one I'm getting for my GS.... But I am defenitly getting the Phillips..... There the best HID's around...

go with any, you'll be pleased. My friend has the Hellas in his 4runner and they are Blue. Much more bluer then mine. We compared and the 7000k is too blue in my opinon. I like the philips ultinon 6000k because they are perfect white with a bit of blue in it. Its all up to your perference.

For the side markers you just got, IF you get HIDS, then you should put blue blubs in. If you dont put HIDS, just put in super whites. When i didn't have HIDS, i put in superwhites and they worked great. Then i got HIDS and those superwhites looked yellow So i put in some blue bulbs and now its nice

good luck

Default thanks for your responses

Thanks for your responses guys,

my 2000 RX is in the shop as we speak getting a face lift (Painting Bumpers & Grill Silver, changing to 2001 lights, clear markers w\Blue), I did not get the HIDs yet, no $$ for them now as my wife's maternity leave ran out and she does not want to go back to work yetI know, a little more than you needed to know). Because she wants to spend more time with the kids my toys have to wait. UnFreakinBelievable !!!

I am also pissed cause I ordered the Chrome A Bar from http://store.yahoo.com/trucktoys4less/tubfrongaurf.html
which should have been here this week but it is stuck in customs somewhere. I could have put those $400 towards the HID and gotten them first. I post pics when the facelift is all done. Thanks again for all your help guys

Cool dprosa, so you ordered a Cobra bar. I like the way their side tubes look in the pic, but the picture doesn't look very real. Plus they want a lot of $$ for them.
