Default 2001 RX300 Fog light replacement

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to replace the bulb for my fog lights?

Cool

You get to them via removing (bending back) the front part of your plastic fender shields. Jack her up and remove the front wheels. Then take the 10m under fender bolts off (I believe there's 2?) and several Phillips screws out (3?). Take two (or three) 10m bolts out of both sides of the front (under radiator) shield. Then bend the plastic under fender shield back.

You don't have to take it all the way off. How reach up in there and change the bulbs. While your in the area, you might as well change the turn signals, day time running lights and side fender marker lights also. Or, leave the bolts loose so that you can do it again next month?

Its not as bad as it sounds. It took me about an hour.

i changed my bulbs multiple times without taking anything apart. just reach in. unplug them first and then turn and take them out. takes maybe 5 minutes for both. just make sure you unplug the harness first otherwise they will not turn.

ivan1, I was trying to replace the passenger side fog light. I know you have to unscrew the windshield washer reservoir to access the light assembly. But how do you take out the fog light harness from its holder? It's not like the low and high beams where you just turn it and it comes out.... so that was my question.

its exactly the same way. it clips on. so just unclip it, might take some finer strength, and then it twist down just like your low beams or high beams would, its the exact same set up just further down below.

and i have never unscrewed the windshield washer reservoir, i just stick my hand down their and mess with it.

Cool

You mean I did all that work for nothing.... Although, I wanted to hide the ballasts for the HID under the shields. I don't think I could have done that properly so easy with the shields on. And there is a air intake on the drivers side that seemed to be in the way.

Also I changed all the bulbs, day time running, turn signals, and fender markers. Much easier with the shields pulled back. And, I had it on stands and the wheels off for a tire rotation anyhow. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Let me know how it works out for you, doing it the fast way, by laying on your back?

the intake is a such a ******. but i manage to get my hand in there and get it out but the turn signal and the daytime bulb would be impossible to get to without taking the shield off but until i need to do that i will just do it from above. either way both ways give you the same result i'm just super impatient.
