This does not work well for me as my Jack stands have notch in the middle then flat shoulders and raised tips at the end, The frame rails sit nicely in the flats and the tips work as book-ends. But on the seam the tips contact the RX. Just could be an issue with the Jack stands,

My jack stands are similar, so I have to make sure to get the pinch weld right into the middle notch on my stands

aren't all jack stands like that? i haven't seen any stands made for pinch welds for some reason being as common as they are. should probably buy stand adapters.
how come they don't make stands for pinch welds? is it safe to rest on stands without the adapters?
The one's i've linked can be used on pinch welds. These are the ones my friend uses regularly on his subaru, they are slotted enough to not bend his rails.
I prefer to use stands on the rails and lift by the frame or differential depending which end you lift. I would only use a slotted jack pad to use the factory pinch weld as a lift point, not for the purpose of support. That's just my preference. FWIW, im using the newer gray HF 3 ton stands
